Overview
Himlung Himal 7126M: A Classic Himalayan Adventure
Embark on an exhilarating journey to Himlung Himal, a towering peak at 7126 meters that promises both adventure and awe. Known as one of the least difficult and least technical 7000-meter-plus mountains to climb, Himlung Himal still demands respect and preparation. It boasts the highest summit success rate among its peers, as recorded by the Himalayan Database, and is celebrated for being one of the safest peaks to conquer, with minimal technical challenges. Situated on the same legendary Himalayan belt as the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges, this expedition offers a visual feast of breathtaking vistas from its summit.
Your adventure begins with a trek through the iconic Annapurna trail, leading you into the heart of the remote and enchanting villages of Nar and Phu. The journey then takes you to base camp at 4900 meters, perched at the upper borders of Phu village. In 2013, Kari Kobler from Switzerland pioneered a new, safer route to the summit. This path is relatively short and straightforward, avoiding significant dangers by ascending the south flank of the northwest ridge to reach the upper crest, a shortcut from the previous, more treacherous route. This refined approach not only enhances safety but also elevates the overall climbing experience.
