Itinerary

After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport and completing visa formalities, collect your luggage and head to the arrival hall exit. Look for the Himali Exped placard - your trip leader will be waiting to escort you to your Kathmandu hotel. In the evening, enjoy welcome drinks and a trek briefing in the hotel lobby. Feel free to explore the surrounding streets afterward!
Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic 7-hour drive to Pokhara, reaching this charming lakeside town by 3 pm, giving you ample time to explore at your own pace. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Please note that tonight's elevation decreases by 532 meters (1,716 ft) compared to last night.
After breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Nayapul, the official start of our trek. Our journey begins with a hike to Ghandruk, a charming Gurung village nestled amidst stunning scenery. This 5-6 hour trek offers spectacular views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, igniting your adventurous spirit. If time allows, we'll also visit the Gurung museum for a glimpse into the local culture. Tonight, we rest in Ghandruk, gaining approximately 1,113 meters (3,651 ft) in elevation from our previous location.
From Ghandruk, you march along the mountain path of stone steps, pass through a hamlet, cross a suspension bridge and then you come across dense forest of bamboo. Finding yourself in complete isolation amidst the serenity of nature can be quite an experience. Your trek does not stop here. After trekking for a while, you approach teahouses at Jhinu where you can rest and enjoy a drink or snacks. Thereafter, you resume your trek to the north and after having walked for five to six hours you will find yourself at Chomrong. From Chomrong you can get prominent and mesmerizing views of Macchapuchre. There are many chalet-style wooden lodges and at Chomrong where you can get accommodation and food.
Departing Chomrong, our trail follows the Modi Khola River, traversing the foothills and entering the Himalayan realm. We'll conquer an airy suspension bridge before ascending to Sinuwa Danda. The path then eases, winding through dense rhododendron forests until we reach our destination for the night, Doban village. This leg offers an elevation gain of approximately 480 meters (1,574 ft) from the previous night's stay.
Today's trek takes us on a gentle ascent following the river, weaving through a captivating landscape of bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forests. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the wilderness as the trail winds its way up the canyon walls. Be aware of potential avalanche zones along certain sections of the path. Our lunch stop will be at Deurali, followed by a steeper climb after a brief rest.

After roughly 30 minutes from Deurali, dramatic scenery unfolds as we reach a riverbed surrounded by towering, snow-capped peaks. Witness the magic of sunrise as it paints the mountains in a golden glow, while the valley below basks in warm sunlight. The climb to MBC is challenging, but the breathtaking views of the majestic Machhapuchre will undoubtedly leave you feeling rewarded. Tonight, we rest at the tranquil Machhapuchhre Base Camp, gaining approximately 1,120 meters (3,674 ft) in elevation.

Remember: Listen to your guides, stay hydrated, and take breaks whenever needed. Enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery but prioritize safety throughout the climb.
We rise before dawn today, eager to witness the magic of sunrise over the Himalayas. Our hike continues on the Annapurna Base Camp trail for 2 hours, culminating in a breathtaking vista. Descend a small ridge to reach the base camp, where you'll be greeted by a panorama of snow-capped peaks like Machhapuchre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, and Hiunchuli. Tranquil meadows, lush farmland, and the unique Himalayan culture nestled beneath the majestic Annapurna massif create a truly unforgettable experience. Savor this culmination of our journey before retracing our steps back down the same trail.
Our return journey takes us back through the familiar trail to Sinuwa. This 6-7 hour trek offers a chance to relive the breathtaking scenery from a different perspective. We'll have a designated lunch stop along the way to refuel before reaching our overnight destination in Sinuwa.
Today's walk is a pleasant and shorter leg, taking only 2-3 hours. Following the familiar trail from Sinuwa, we descend to Chomrong before reaching our destination for the night, Jhinu Danda. Enjoy lunch upon arrival, and for those seeking relaxation, take a dip in the natural hot springs located just a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
Our trek concludes today with a final descent to Kyumi via Jhinu Danda. After a refreshing break in Jhinu Danda, we'll depart for Kyumi where our jeep awaits to whisk us back to Pokhara. This marks the end of our incredible journey through the Annapurna region.
The morning offers a chance for some final shopping in Pokhara before we head to the airport for our brief 20-minute flight back to Kathmandu. Check-in opens one hour before your flight time, so be sure to arrive with ample time. For a spectacular aerial goodbye to the Himalayas, try to snag seats on the left side of the plane!

Upon landing in Kathmandu, we'll transfer you back to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Perhaps revisit the bustling markets for last-minute souvenirs, or delve deeper into the city's cultural treasures. This is your opportunity to personalize your Kathmandu experience before our official adventure concludes.
Thank you for joining us on this incredible Annapurna Base Camp trek. We hope the breathtaking scenery, challenging climbs, and unique cultural encounters have created lasting memories. It's been a pleasure getting to know you along the way.

As you depart, we wish you a safe and comfortable journey home. May your onward travels be filled with joy! Keep in touch, and we hope to see you on another Himalayan adventure someday.
